Students and staff at Riverlands School, located in West Swan, will benefit from an Australian Government grant of $180,000 under the Investing in Our Schools program, Member for Pearce Judi Moylan announced today.
Ms Moylan said the grant would be put towards the construction of two general learning areas, toilets, an activity area, site development and fires services.
“The Investing in Our Schools initiative delivers funds to State schools and Catholic and Independent schools across Australia,” she said.
“The Government recognises the importance of providing schools with facilities that will enhance the education and wellbeing of students.”
Investing in Our Schools builds on an allocation of $1.5 billion, which has already been set aside, between 2005-08, for school capital works projects.
“The Government continues to show its commitment towards a strong and effective school system, maximising the opportunities for young people,” she said.
