Pingelly and Narrogin schools receive Australian Government funding

Funding has been approved for two schools in the Pearce electorate through the Australian Government’s Whole of School Intervention Strategy.
Member for Pearce Judi Moylan said that Pingelly District High School would receive $10,000 for the Read Aloud Project and the Breakfast Program.
Narrogin Primary School will receive $3380 for the Parent Workshop, Year 7 Camp Subsidy and for Swimming Lessons.
The Whole of School Intervention Strategy focuses on the implementation of creative approaches to improving the educational outcomes of Indigenous school students.
The program encourages primary and high schools, Indigenous parents and communities to work together to improve Indigenous students’ attendance, literacy and numeracy skills, retention from Years 10-12 and Year 12 results.
Ms Moylan said these programs showed leadership within the communities.
“Congratulations to those involved in initiating these programs in Narrogin and Pingelly,” she said.
