Pingelly to receive Broadband ADSL Internet
Posted on Tuesday, 2 August 2005
Pingelly’s Internet users will now be able to speed up their downloads after Telstra recently upgraded the exchange in the Pearce town.
More than 50 individuals and businesses from Pingelly expressed an interest in getting Broadband ADSL.
Member for Pearce Judi Moylan is grateful that the community was active in ensuring they received these services and that the Australian Government was able to assist.
“Thanks to local interest expressed on Telstra’s Demand Register and the Australian Government’s Higher Bandwidth Incentive Scheme the town will now receive services which people in the inner city areas often take for granted,” she said.
As there are network limitations on ADSL access, including distance from an exchange, a service qualification is required to assess whether instalment is possible.
“I encourage communities in Pearce to follow Pingelly’s lead and register online at http://www.telstra.com.au/demand/index.cfm”
