Local Answers grants for Northam, Midvale and the Eastern Region

Member for Pearce Judi Moylan today welcomed the announcement of $21.5 million in funding under the Australian Government’s Local Answers initiative, with 158 projects unveiled nationally. Ms Moylan said the funding for the Pearce electorate under the scheme was as follows – • $294,975 for the Central Wheatbelt Division of General Practice Inc’s Wheatbelt Parents Doing It Well project; • $108,656 for the Midvale Early Childhood and Parenting Centre - Midvale Parenting – Phase 2 scheme; and • $36,300 for the Eastern Region Domestic Violence Services Network’s Family Fun Me program. Local Answers projects aim to further develop local projects, which will help families in our community to build their skills and abilities to resolve issues and create opportunities. “The Local Answers initiative is part of the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy, which helps strengthen disadvantaged communities by funding local, small-scale projects,” Ms Moylan said.
