The Minister for Workforce Participation, Hon Peter Dutton, has announced 350 new Work for the Dole projects across Australia, offering 3525 places for job seekers.
“Work for the Dole participants are providing local communities with services and facilities we might not otherwise have,” the Member for Pearce, Judi Moylan, said today.
“Through this program, Work for the Dole participants are improving their prospects of finding a job,” she said.
Ms Moylan said one new project in Pearce, would offer four people places.
The project will be based in the Pearce suburb of Mundaring and in Midland, which is found in the Hasluck electorate.
The project is entitled Retail Therapy 2 and will see the four people working in a supportive environment obtaining experience in all aspects of the retail industry, including warehousing, customer service, stock display, tagging, pricing and sorting of donated goods.
