Budget 2004 - Moylan announces help for Pearce Veterans

Member for Pearce Judi Moylan continues to work towards entitlements for Pearce Veterans.
Ms Moylan welcomes an Australia-wide scheme, announced in last night’s Federal Budget, which will provide Veterans with easier access to health care through a $158 million funding package.
“This will boost the free comprehensive medical care opportunities for veterans,” she said.
Specialists already receive 100 per cent of the Medicare Benefits Scheme fee to treat eligible veterans. Additional payments will ensure that eligible Gold and White Card holders will continue to receive quality specialist care in Pearce.
Pearce veterans will also benefit from changes to assist those receiving income support from Centrelink, including recipients of Veterans’ Affairs.
Ms Moylan said the Australian Government’s 2004-05 Federal Budget continued its commitment to Veterans Affairs, including honouring their service.
