Hands on For Habitat Awards 2005

Member for Pearce Judi Moylan today encouraged all Pearce Primary schools to enter the Hands on Habitat Awards 2005. “By registering for a free Hands on for Habitat Teacher’s Resource Kit and by entering the Hands on Habitat awards, primary school children will learn about Australia’s amazing flora and fauna, the threats they face and more importantly what they can do to help,” Ms Moylan said. “Schools can win excellent prizes totalling over $5000.” The awards are administered through the office of the Minister for the Environment and Heritage, Senator The Hon Ian Campbell. The Minister said that over 4300 Australian primary school children entered last year. The competition closes on 24 June, 2005.
