Moylan announces 28 substantial Envirofund grants for Pearce

Member for Pearce Judi Moylan today announced 28 new projects, which were successful under Round 6 of the Envirofund for 2004-05.
Among the projects were (Trust funding) –
• $31,932 for the Revegetation of Waterlogged Areas and Watercourses on Springvale, Brookton;
• $36,090.91 for the Encouraging Revegetation in the Narrogin Catchment;
• $14,084.55 for the Protecting the Hotham River on Nilgherry Farm – Cuballing; and
• $23,813.64 for the Protection of the Wetlands and Pristine Bushland at Benalong.
A list of the further 24 projects stretching from Lancelin on the coast, Boddington, Williams, Brookton, Beverley, Cuballing, Wandering and Narrogin in the south and Gingin and Toodyay north-east of Perth is available by calling Ms Moylan’s office.
Ms Moylan congratulated the successful applicants.
“This is wonderful news for Pearce and its environment,” she said.
She encouraged Pearce community groups to consider applying for the next round of Australian Government funding (when it becomes available) to help them undertake projects to restore and conserve the local environment and contribute to sustainable natural resource management.
